Ms. Vintage Chelsea Rose sees herself as a late bloomer into the exciting world of the Pin-up family even though her love of cars in particular vintage motor vehicles started at a very early age watching her uncle restore Jaguars in her grandparent’s barn in Chelsea in the 60’s. Then later when her dad was involved in the car racing scene after we moved to Australia. Her love of fast and grunt through her time drag racingand driving a speedway car in the 80’s.

Ms. Vintage Chelsea Rose says the 40/50s epitomises the start of the freedom of self-expression through colours and styles of fashion, the variety of music and really the start of free dance that you could express your own identity through all these which transcends into the ethos of the Pin-up family.

Ms. Vintage Chelsea Rose says her bucket list is a ’65 Ford Mustang but jokes she will probably have to work until she is 99, then won’t be able to drive it BUT the bonus is she can be buried in it. Ms. Vintage Chelsea Rose would love to empower other ladies to be comfortable to express their own style at any age but particularly older ladies and not associate and expectations of society as the norm.

Her motto is “until the clothing labels are stating my age and someone else buys my clothes, I will wear what I want, when I want”. Ms. Vintage Chelsea Rose works as an in-home support worker for older people and says her older clients love to see her come to work with her hair done as it brings back memories of their younger years and it
starts a connection and conversation through sharing their experiences. Ms. Vintage Chelsea Rose expresses that being an individual and making her own style choices has made her a strong woman.
